Description
This second unit of Genesis is a study of chapters 12-50. They relate the history of the first four generations of Abraham’s family, whom God sovereignly separated unto Himself and made covenant. God revealed His intent to make Abraham a great nation and bless all the families of the earth through him. This history is also a study of character formation amidst the trials and triumphs of living life before God. Key themes are: 1) God separated a people unto Himself to accomplish His redemptive plan for mankind; 2) Walking with God on pilgrimage is a faith walk that requires obedience; 3) God’s covenants with man are based on His holy nature and eternal attributes and are trustworthy and unchangeable. This guide includes 24 Bible_Reading lesson plans with background resource for the teacher; vocabulary cards; graphic organizers that include a graphic to memorize the books of the Bible, a Land of the Patriarchs map, the Patriarchs’ family lineage, and My Purity Promise; memory verse cards; bookmarks; and parent prayer and blessing cards.
